We are going to be learning about Economics and the systems that we use to buy and sell goods and services.

 

Introduction: To begin this project, I would like you to create two webs using               to give some examples of goods and services.  One web should represent goods and provide at least 5 examples.  The other web should represent services and provide at least 5 examples. Remember that a service is an action that a person does for someone else and goods are items that you can buy.

Activity 1: Next, you will choose a good or service that you would like to sell during a class store that will be held at the end of the month.  You will create a business plan to prepare for selling your product.  Your business plan should include whether you are selling a good/service, the name of your business, the cost of your good/service, who your audience is, and any materials you will need.

Activity 2: Now that you have developed your business plan you will create an advertisement

using             .  You need to include the name of your company, the price of your product and at least two reasons why people should buy it.

Activity 3:  Your final activity is to create a Voicethread to explain two key vocabulary words.  You can choose from the following: goods/services, consumers/producers, needs/wants, or currency/income.  Use images to show examples and provide a clear definition of each word.  Then explain how they are important to our economy.
